The Etiquette
The house keeps few rules. It keeps them absolutely.
The Veil
Full evening dress. A single colour only: black, or the deepest red. Nothing in between.
The Mask
The mask is worn before you reach the door and stays on until you leave. It comes off for no one, and not for dinner.
First Confession
Guests remain anonymous.
Crimson
There are no clocks at Fidelio, and no guest keeps a watch. For one night, the hour belongs to the house.
Silence
What is seen at Fidelio remains at Fidelio. What is said here is never carried past the door. This is the one rule we enforce completely.
The Ritual
Each guest is handed a note meant for them alone, and is expected to follow it exactly. No two are the same, and none is ever shown to another.
The Word
You will be asked for it once, at the door. If you do not have it, you were never expected.
